3.2. The Customer must pay the price quoted or displayed at the time the order is confirmed, subject to any agreed variations.
3.3. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made in full before delivery or collection booking.
3.4. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST. Applicable GST will be added to the quoted price.

3.7. We may refuse to commence or continue a service where payment required under the agreed booking terms has not been received, subject to applicable law.
4. CORRECT USE OF SKIP BAGS
The Customer must use Skip Bags safely and in accordance with our instructions.
The Customer must ensure that:
- The bag is filled only with approved waste.
- The bag is not filled above its permitted capacity.

- The bag is not dragged or moved once filled.

The Customer must not overload, alter, damage or use a Skip Bag in a way that makes collection unsafe.
We may refuse collection if a bag is damaged, improperly loaded or unsafe to lift.
5. PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED WASTE
Unless we have expressly approved the material and the service in writing, the following must not be placed in a standard Bumblebee Skip Bag:
- Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials.
- Hazardous chemicals or contaminated substances.
- Medical, clinical or biological waste.
- Paints, solvents, oils and fuels, including liquid residues.
- Gas bottles, cylinders and fire extinguishers.
- Batteries and other hazardous electrical components.

- Refrigerators, freezers and air-conditioning units where specialist handling is required.
- Food waste or animal carcasses unless expressly permitted.
- Any material prohibited by law or rejected by the relevant Waste Facility.
Electronic waste and other restricted materials may require separate collection or specialist disposal.
The Customer must disclose the contents of the bag accurately before collection. We may refuse collection, require prohibited materials to be removed, or arrange an alternative service where legally permitted.
6. ASBESTOS AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
6.1. Asbestos must never be placed in a standard Bumblebee Skip Bag.
6.2. Customers must not conceal asbestos or other hazardous materials in a bag intended for general waste.
6.3. Bumblebee Skip Bags will only consider asbestos-related services where the service has been expressly agreed in advance and can be performed in accordance with applicable NSW legislation, SafeWork NSW requirements, NSW Environment Protection Authority requirements and the relevant Waste Facility’s acceptance conditions.
6.4. Customers must not assume that wrapping, sealing or labelling asbestos makes it acceptable for collection through our standard service.
6.5. If suspected asbestos or other hazardous material is discovered, we may stop work, refuse collection or require an appropriate specialist service.
6.6. The Customer may be responsible for reasonable, lawful and properly disclosed additional costs arising from prohibited or incorrectly declared materials, subject to applicable law.
7. WASTE REJECTION AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES
7.1. We may refuse or suspend collection where:
- The bag contains prohibited or incorrectly declared waste.
- The bag is overloaded, damaged or unsafe to lift.
- The collection location is inaccessible or unsafe.
- Required permissions or access arrangements are missing.
- The Customer has not complied with the agreed booking requirements.
- The relevant Waste Facility refuses the load.
7.2. Where a load is rejected or collection cannot proceed because of the Customer’s actions or failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions, the Customer may be charged for reasonable, applicable costs actually incurred, including:
- Return transport.
- Reloading or additional handling.
- Additional transport or disposal costs.
- Waiting time where applicable.
- A wasted journey or rescheduling fee, where applicable.
- Other reasonable and properly incurred costs associated with the failed collection.
7.3. A minimum reload or additional handling fee of $330 plus GST per load may apply where special handling, reloading or return transport is required. The fee will be disclosed where reasonably practicable before the relevant work is undertaken.
7.4. The $330 fee is not intended to duplicate another charge for the same work or cost. Any additional charges must reflect the circumstances and be consistent with applicable law.
7.5. We will explain the reason for a charge upon request.
8. WEIGHT LIMITS AND OVERWEIGHT CHARGES
8.1. Each Skip Bag has an applicable weight limit based on its size, intended use and waste type. The relevant limit will be communicated at the time of sale or booking.
8.2. Heavy materials such as soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, rubble and masonry must only be placed in bags or services approved for that material.
8.3. Unless a different rate has been agreed in writing, bags exceeding the applicable weight limit may incur an overweight surcharge of $1.00 plus GST per kilogram for each kilogram above the permitted limit.
8.4. Where an overweight charge applies, the excess weight will be determined using available weighing information or other reasonable and reliable evidence. The Customer may request an explanation of the calculation.
8.5. Additional disposal or handling charges may apply where they are separately applicable, properly disclosed and not duplicative.
8.6. We may refuse collection where the bag is too heavy or otherwise unsafe to lift or transport, even if the Customer agrees to pay the overweight surcharge.
8.7. If unloading or repacking is required, the Customer must follow our reasonable safety instructions. Any additional costs will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
9. COLLECTION LOCATION AND ACCESS
9.1. The Customer must provide safe, clear and suitable access for our collection vehicle and crane.
9.2. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Customer must provide:
- A suitable access route, generally requiring at least 3 metres of clear width.
- A clear and suitable stopping position for the collection vehicle.
- Sufficient space for crane operation and bag lifting.
- Clear access without obstructing vehicles, pedestrians or neighbouring properties.
- Unlocked gates or access barriers, where required and agreed.
- A bag positioned within the agreed collection area and within the safe operating reach of our equipment.
9.3. The Customer must inform us in advance of narrow driveways, restricted streets, parking limitations, steep slopes, soft ground, low structures or any other access restrictions.
9.4. Where safe access is unavailable, we may refuse or reschedule collection and charge reasonable applicable costs arising from the failed attendance, subject to the agreed booking terms and applicable law.
9.5. The Customer must not assume that a location is suitable merely because a previous vehicle or service provider has accessed it.
10. CRANE, POWERLINE AND SITE SAFETY
10.1. The Customer must disclose any known overhead powerlines, electrical cables, trees, buildings, awnings, poles or other hazards near the bag or collection route.
10.2. The Customer must provide accurate information about site conditions and must not request a lift that would require an unsafe crane operation.
10.3. The collection operator has final authority to determine whether a lift can safely proceed.
10.4. We will not undertake a lift where our operator considers the operation unsafe or inconsistent with applicable safety requirements.
10.5. Required clearances from overhead electrical lines and other hazards depend on the equipment, conditions and applicable safety requirements. A general clearance measurement does not override mandatory safety distances.
10.6. If the site cannot be made safe, collection may be refused or rescheduled. Any additional charges will be handled in accordance with the applicable booking terms and law.
11. PLACEMENT OF SKIP BAGS AND PROPERTY CONDITIONS
11.1. The Customer is responsible for selecting and preparing a suitable placement location.
11.2. Skip Bags should be placed on firm, level and stable ground and must not obstruct emergency exits, access pathways or traffic.
11.3. The Customer must identify any known underground services, fragile paving, weak surfaces, drainage systems or other concealed hazards.
11.4. Skip Bags must not be placed on public roads, footpaths or other public land without any required council or other approval.
11.5. The Customer is responsible for obtaining any required permits, approvals or permissions for the placement and collection of a bag, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
12.1. We will exercise reasonable care when providing our services.
12.2. The Customer must ensure that the collection location is suitable for the weight and movement of our vehicle and the operation of our crane.
12.3. We are not responsible for damage to the extent it is caused by unsuitable site conditions, concealed hazards, unstable ground, inadequate information supplied by the Customer or placement instructions given by the Customer, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
12.4. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability for damage caused by our negligence or other conduct where that liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
12.5. Customers should notify us as soon as reasonably practicable if they believe damage has occurred during a service and provide relevant photographs or other information where available.
13. COLLECTION TIMEFRAMES
13.1. Collection timeframes are estimates unless a specific collection date or time has been expressly confirmed in writing.
13.2. Any standard timeframe communicated to the Customer is subject to availability, access, weather, traffic, vehicle operations and Waste Facility requirements.
13.3. Customers must ensure that the bag is ready for collection and that access arrangements are in place when our vehicle arrives.
13.4. We will endeavour to notify the Customer of significant delays or changes where reasonably practicable.
14. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
14.1. Customers should request cancellation or rescheduling as soon as possible.
14.2. Unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation, a cancellation or rescheduling request made at least 24 hours before the scheduled collection may be made without a cancellation fee.
14.3. Requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled collection may incur a reasonable cancellation or rescheduling fee where permitted by law and disclosed in the booking terms.
14.4. Where a vehicle has already been dispatched or attended the site, reasonable costs actually incurred may be charged where the collection cannot proceed because of the Customer’s actions or failure to provide the agreed access.
14.5. We will not charge a Customer for costs that we are not legally entitled to recover.
14.6. If we cancel a service, we will work with the Customer to arrange an alternative service or refund any amount required under the booking terms and applicable law.
15. REFUNDS AND RETURNS
15.1. Refunds are assessed in accordance with the circumstances of the order, the agreed booking terms and Australian Consumer Law.
15.2. Unused and undamaged Skip Bags may be eligible for return within 14 days of purchase, subject to reasonable return conditions communicated at the time of purchase.
15.3. Any applicable delivery or return costs will be disclosed before a return is arranged.
15.4. Collection fees may be refundable where a service is cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms or where a refund is otherwise required by law.
15.5. Where services have already been performed or reasonable costs have been incurred, any deduction from a refund must be lawful and appropriately justified.
15.6. Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to a Customer under Australian Consumer Law.
16. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED OR SECOND-HAND SKIP BAGS
16.1. We may agree to collect customer-supplied or second-hand Skip Bags at our discretion.
16.2. Such bags must be structurally sound, suitable for lifting, and fitted with intact lifting straps or handles.
16.3. We may refuse bags that are torn, deteriorated, incorrectly loaded or otherwise unsafe.
16.4. The Customer must disclose the bag’s condition and contents before collection.
16.5. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, a customer-supplied bag collected with its waste contents will not be returned to the Customer.
16.6. The Customer must own the bag or have authority to arrange its disposal.
17. BUMBLEBEE EQUIPMENT AND WHEELIE BINS
17.1. Where we supply or hire wheelie bins or other equipment, the Customer must take reasonable care of the equipment and use it only for its intended purpose.
17.2. The Customer must not overload, modify, relocate or misuse equipment in a manner that creates a safety risk or causes damage.
17.3. The Customer must notify us promptly of damage or defects.
17.4. Where damage is caused by the Customer’s misuse, negligence or breach of the agreed conditions, reasonable repair or replacement costs may apply, subject to applicable law.
17.5. The following indicative charges may apply where the relevant damage and charge are justified:
- Damaged wheelie bin: from $450 plus GST.
- Damaged wheel: $45 plus GST per wheel.
- Damaged lid: $28 plus GST per lid.
17.6. The applicable charge will depend on the actual damage, repair or replacement required. Ordinary wear and tear is not treated as customer-caused damage.
18. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer is responsible for:
- Accurately declaring the type and approximate quantity of waste.
- Complying with applicable weight limits and waste restrictions.
- Providing safe access and accurate site information.
- Disclosing known hazards and access limitations.
- Obtaining any required permits, approvals or permissions.
- Preventing unauthorised dumping into the bag before collection.
- Keeping the bag accessible and ready for collection.
- Following reasonable safety instructions from our operator.
- Paying agreed charges that are properly due.
The Customer remains responsible for waste they introduce into the bag until it is collected and accepted into our service, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the collection.
19. THIRD-PARTY CONTRACTORS AND WASTE FACILITIES
19.1. We may engage suitable third-party contractors and Waste Facilities to transport, process, recycle or dispose of waste.
19.2. Waste will be handled and directed to facilities in accordance with applicable legal requirements and relevant facility acceptance conditions.
19.3. Waste Facilities may change their operating hours, acceptance criteria, processing requirements or fees.
19.4. Where such changes or a load rejection result in additional costs attributable to the Customer’s waste or breach of these Terms & Conditions, reasonable and lawful costs may be passed on to the Customer.
19.5. We will explain the basis of additional charges upon request.
20. FORCE MAJEURE AND UNFORESEEN EVENTS
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform a service to the extent caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, natural disasters, accidents, road closures, industrial action, government restrictions, vehicle breakdowns or Waste Facility closures.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate significant changes where practicable.
This clause does not remove any consumer rights or other obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
21. LIABILITY AND AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
21.1. Our services come with guarantees and rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded where the law prohibits exclusion.
21.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services where such exclusion is legally effective.
21.3. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any liability, consumer guarantee, remedy or right that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
21.4. Any limitation of liability under these Terms & Conditions applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not automatically excuse negligence, unlawful conduct or a failure to meet a non-excludable consumer guarantee.
22. INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, the Customer is responsible for reasonable losses, damages, liabilities and costs suffered or incurred by us to the extent they are caused by the Customer’s breach of these Terms & Conditions, misuse of our equipment, provision of prohibited waste or failure to disclose a known hazard.
This indemnity does not apply to the extent a loss is caused by our own negligence, breach of law or other conduct for which we cannot lawfully transfer responsibility to the Customer.
23. PRIVACY
We may collect and use Customer information for order processing, service delivery, billing, communication, customer support and other legitimate business purposes.
We will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our privacy obligations.
